The Ranger's Apprentice blogged by Nick M.

Reporting 13 hours on books 1,2,3,8,9,10 in the Ranger's Apprentice Series

So, the books are basically about a boy who lives in a fief, and is choosen to become a Ranger's apprentice. The Rangers are the protectors of a kingdom, and the books show you the boy (Will)'s growth and his adventures and battles as a Ranger's apprentice, and later, as a Ranger himself. I personally enjoyed them thoroughly, and would recommend them to anyone 10+.

Lord of the Flies blogged by Claire K.

I have read 3 hours since I last reported. I've read Lord of the Flies and The Help. I talked about The Help in my last email, but Lord of the Flies is about a group of boys who's plane crashed on a deserted island and the pilot was killed, so they have to create their own "government."

Stunning blogged by Brittany C.

I've read Stunning by Sara Shepard for 4 hours.

In the Pretty Little Liars book, there is the third A torturing Hanna, Aria, Spencer, and Emily with new secrets. They all were involved with pushing an innocent girl, Tabitha, off the roof of a building and killing her, but no one knows except for them and A. They also have secrets of their own. Hanna took scandalous pictures with a photographer and is going to desperate levels to get her ex-boyfriend back. Aria and Noel are back together and using Noel's parents as an example, but Aria caught his dad in a dress. Spencer framed her roommate when they were both taking drugs and now people at Princeton think she turned in someone for drugs again. And Emily had a baby that she said would give to a crazy lady, Gayle, for money but ended up giving her baby to someone from an adoption agency and Gayle found Emily. I think all of the pretty little liars books are great and gripping and u cannot wait to finish the book!

Boat Missouri by Brittany C.

Boat Missouri course by Kalkomey Enterprises, Inc for 5 hours

This is one course to take to be able to get a boating license from the state of Missouri. It started with telling about different types of boats and how to take care of the boat and the engine. It then went on to talk about how to get off the dock with different currents and wind directions as well as light signals and sound signals. The next section talked about once you are out on the water how to stay safe when anchoring. The following section was all about the Missouri boating laws. Next was about what to do in case of an emergency. The last section is about towing behind a boat and how to stay safe with water sports. After reading about how to stay safe and passing a quiz after each unit, you can take a final exam which could allow you to operate a boat alone.

When Asia Was the World blogged by Brittany C.

I've been reading When Asia Was the World by Stewart Gordon. I've read it for 3 hours.

In one chapter, it was all about Xaunzang, who became a Buddhist monk. In this chapter, it was a combination of his story and about Buddhism. At the beginning, he and his brother ran to a rumored place that did not end up how they wanted it to, so they went to another area in China. Xuanzang learned from his brother about Buddhism. He started going to a monastery and then became a true Buddhist monk. He left the monastery in China to travel to learn more about the religion and to become enlightened. He then went against the government to travel and became sacred after he refused a deal and gave up eating. He got special treatment and was known as a "notable teacher" wherever he traveled. When he wanted to go back to his homeland, he wrote a letter to the emperor apologizing and summarized his trip. He was forgiven and returned to China.

I have read 13 hours. One of the books I read was The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. The Alchemist was about a shepherd who meets a gypsy, a king, and an alchemist. All of whom point the shepherd toward his personal legend, which is basically your dream. The boy sells his sheep and travels to east Africa where he for a crystal shop until he can afford a trip to the Egyptian pyramids. Along the way, he meets his future wife, Fatima, in an oasis. When he reaches the pyramids, the boy is mugged but is told of a treasure chest in the fields of Spain where he used to care for his sheep. The story ends with the boys having multiple treasures; jewels and money, his wife, and a strong connection with God, his heart, and the world.
