This time I read the book Water Wars. In summary the book is about a near future where there was a huge war over who gets to control the remaining supply of water in a humongous drought. In the end some organization won (don't worry it's not really important who they are) and every person get the exact same amount of water for every household need. Now this girl Vera has a pretty normal and average life, just the same as anyone else, except the rich people of course, but then one day she meets this boy Kai who's father is rich and they can afford lots of water. Then one day after Kai and Vera have gotten to know each other a bit better he goes and shows something the no one would ever believe. 

 Kai decided to show Vera his family's personal river that his dad found when he was mining one day. Vera was shocked because since they are in a drought a stream is very unlikely to see. But immediately once Kai showed her the stream he made her swear to secrecy because if the government knew about it they would claim it as their own. So she swore to keep it a secret. I will leave you there just so I don't spoil the entire book for you.

     I have been reading the book Flygirl. The book is mainly about a black woman name Ida Mae Jones who loves flying but since she's black no one wants to give her a flying license since she is black and also a woman. But Ida Mae has heard of this place in Chicago where they have given licenses to many blacks and many women so she has been a housemaid at many houses trying to earn enough money to get a bus ticket to go there. Suddenly in the middle of what seemed to her to be a pretty average day the Japanese bombed Hawaii. Luckily it didn't effect her or her family since they live in Georgia. Since the U.S. Is now recruiting for the army her older brother decides to go be a doctor and help the countless soldiers. And the news all that is going on has really bummed out Ida Mae so she decides to go into the military as well. 

     The only reason she decided to go into the service was because her little brother showed her an news article saying that the military needs women pilots. So Ida Mae secretly sent in a request to join and then they said she was scheduled for an appointment with the recruiter. When she finally decided to "come clean" her mom and grandfather were very concerned but the let her do it. Now since Ida Mae had light brown skin if she wore the right clothes and acted the right way she could pass as a white woman so when it came time for the interview she did exactly that, mostly because she wasn't sure if they would let a black woman in. Luckily she was accepted into the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) and so she is now off to the WASP training facility.

In my book Bad Girls Don't Die Kasey has been acting weird and doing odd things she normally wouldn't do. One day while Alexis is at school she sees Kasey in the hallway when she should be in middle school. And later that day a cheerleader tells Alexis that she can help her if there are any strange paranormal things going on. Alexis lied and said  that there are no paranormal things going on at her house. When Alexis gets home that day she decides to investigate and see if there is anything weird in Kasey's room. She calls the school just to make sure that she is at school and the attendant said she is present. So she walks into Kasey's room  and to her surprise Kasey's in there when she should be at school. Kasey explains that people do what she tells them to and it's like magic. Alexis is freaked out and so she hurries to the high school and tries to find the cheerleader who offered help earlier that day. Alexis was able to find her and she convinces the cheerleader to help her. So they drive to her house to get some things before they talk to whatever is possessing Kasey.

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

I am writing my review about the book The Fault in our Stars. I think the book is amazing! I love how a guy wrote a book from a girls' perspective. I think it's incredible how John Green could understand how a girl feels about love and put it into words. But about the book, The Fault in our Stars is about two teenage cancer patients, Hazel Grace and Augustus Waters, who fall in love. Augustus found a way to e-mail Hazel's favorite author of all time who said he wants to meet them in person and talk. So Augustus and Hazel fly to Amsterdam to meet him. Once they get to his house they notice he is drunk but ask him about the book anyways. But he gets very mad that they ask so many questions and is very rude towards them. After they visit and fly back home, Augustus gets really sick from more cancer.

This is how far I have gotten in the book and this is all I know. I hope to write another report about The Fault in our Stars again.
